Boys make original music for use in television, film, web, advertising, and new media productions. The brainchild of four young men you might know from such musical endeavors as YACHT, Bobby Birdman, White Rainbow, Jeffrey Jerusalem, The Blow (and countless other West Coast-based bands and collaborative aliases), Boys offer clients a unique take on film and advert music and sound. Instead of the cheap cut-n-paste techno beats and flimsy production characteristic of large music licensing firms, we strive to produce creative, hip, and forward-thinking music catered to clients’ specific needs and tastes. I’ve started a radio project in which I’m personally challenging myself to publish a different 30-minute show, five days a week. It’ll be some talking & conversations, mostly selections of music, but really I’m just curious to see if I can get out a half-hour of content everyday. I spend a lot of time listening to and thinking about music, so this is a helpful way for me to catalog and externalize my relationship to the sounds and artists I love. Check it out on Mixcloud!
